Make work fun! (5 years of @bloomincrisis)

Today marks the five-year anniversary of Bloom in Crisis, and I’ve got to admit: after all this time, I’m still working on understanding exactly what it is I’m doing.

But I love it.

Five years of complete obsession,

of tuning in to the voice within and following my soul’s guidance in a physical world,

of freeing myself from the prison of the mind and the limitation of definitions,

of doubling down on intimate contributions instead of external validation,

of constantly transforming through adversity—and actively choosing to embody hope.

Five years, and not once have I felt bored of this journey.

I might not be able to fully articulate what it is I’m doing on a conscious level just yet, but deep down, I’ve always known why I do what I do, and I genuinely feel at peace letting it all unfold in its own time.

It’s interesting how the word crisis often makes us feel a sense of heaviness and unease. I’d be the first to agree that it’s not normal for someone to reference this word so frequently that it becomes more like a meme than what Merriam-Webster tells you, and if you know me, you know I wear it like a badge of honor all over the place—not only in the name itself but also in my completely made up title, the CQO (Chief Quarterlife-crisis Officer) 💁🏻‍♀️

Welp... I don’t mind being strange (or more accurately—not anymore). While I imagine some may feel it downplays the seriousness of crisis, from what I’ve learned, it’s the light and joy we cultivate within ourselves during crisis that not only help us overcome but also thrive.

Even if it might start from your inner joy, you’ll be surprised by the impact it can have on others—it’s the best kind of virus—the kind that makes everything else in life just a little bit brighter ☀️

Thank you for walking with me on this shared journey, and I hope you’ll keep cultivating that joy within too ✨

With gratitude and love,

Zip
