It’s frustrating, isn’t it?
We hear ‘let go’ all the time, but ironically, that phrase can be misleading, leaving us feeling stuck because we’re not sure how to let go of the energy we carry.
But what if it’s not really about trying to let go at all?
What we often forget is that energy isn’t an object. It’s not something we can simply throw away or turn off like a light switch.
Energy doesn’t just disappear—it shifts. It transforms and can be transformed.
Think of energy like water. It exists in different forms: fluid at room temperature, solid at freezing, and evaporating at boiling point. The same water that’s gentle to the touch can be freezing cold or burning hot. It can even disappear into thin air! The key lies in the conditions.
Check your conditions.
It’s everything around you—your environment, who and what you surround yourself with. Energy is contagious. Observe the things you’ve been doing and consuming. Observe the thoughts inside your head.
What can you change about your conditions? You don’t have to change everything, but you certainly need to make some changes. You may or may not feel the difference immediately but you need to be persistent in your approach. Just like water can continue to rise in temperature when heated but it won’t turn into steam until it reaches 100°C (212°F).
Break the pattern. Channel that energy into something else.
Letting go isn’t about getting rid of the energy itself—it’s about transformation. If you want to release negative energy, transform it. Transform it through movement, through breath, through writing, cooking, music, art, or service to others. Transform it into wisdom, creativity. Transform it in ways that heal and ignite your senses.
Forget letting go. Transform.
Like water, the same negative energy that you’re feeling right now can be transformed into something incredibly positive that doesn’t only benefit you but also others. It will manifest into something new when your conditions reach a new threshold.
